Lane, Shannon, MPH
Research Co-ordinator
Shannon is a social scientist with a B.A. in cultural anthropology from McMaster University
and a Master of Public Health in Health Promotion from University of Toronto. Shannon works as a research coordinator with the McMaster
Transfusion Research Program at McMaster University. Shannon’s interest lies in qualitative research approaches, which she enjoys using to
bring the perspectives of people with hemophilia to bear on hemophilia related research problems.
Over the past 8 years she has worked on a number of hemophilia related studies in the following areas: infusion diary record keeping,
understanding and assessing disease related knowledge, gaps and needs, and most recently a qualitative study to understand treatment decision-making
among youth with severe hemophilia.
